The ♥ is curved like a road through the mountains

The ♥ is curved like a road through the mountains

Inspired by a two-week trip among the volcanoes, lakes, and colorful mountain villages of Guatemala’s lush highlands. And an ode to chicken buses. I love chicken buses.

What are you waiting for? Hit the road and have an adventure! It is later than you think.

This is a new art print, available in my Society6 store.

  1. Had to have the print! Thanks. I’ll be in Guatemala next February on a fiber tour with a dozen of my new best friends. As soon as I meet them, that is. Brushing up my Spanish with Rosetta Stone. Really looking forward to some chicken buses with fringe, please.

    1. That’s wonderful! You’ll love Guatemala…everybody is so, so nice. I am writing a post up about my visits to Chichicastenango, the big handwoven market in the highlands, to be posted soon! Lots of tips on what to watch out for, how to bargain, and where to get the real stuff for a third of the tourist prices…might come in handy for you, although you probably have an experienced tour manager, too…

      1. Look forward to reading your post about the market! Yes, the tour manager is a US ex-pat who has lived in Guatemala for over 20 years and has written about the weavers. You might google to see her book – Deborah Chandler. Traditional Weavers of Guatemala – It’s a magical book about their work, their homes, their stories, their families.
